What is the best time to travel to Albania?
Due to its southern location in Europe and proximity to the Mediterranean, you can expect hot and dry summers and mild winters. The best time to travel to Albania is in the months of May, June, and September. During these months, the temperatures are already warm in summer and you can expect hardly any rainfall. In July and August, it is very hot and dry in the country. However, if you don’t mind, you can of course also travel during these months. However, expect higher prices and crowded beaches.
If you want to go hiking in the mountains, spring, and fall are particularly suitable. You can also explore the high-altitude national parks (especially in the north) in the summer months. It’s not quite as hot at higher altitudes. However, you can expect snow in the months from November to March.
